The European Red Cross and Red Crescent Network on HIV, AIDS and TB (ERNA), with the support and cooperation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Ukrainian Red Cross, organized an ERNA online meeting on 5 November 2021 on the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences for local health services providers on TB, HIV, and beneficiaries including drug users.
More than 70 participants from the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies of Uzbekistan, Russia, Slovakia, Latvia, Northern Macedonia, Spain, Turkey, Georgia, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Italy participated in the meeting as well as the guest speakers from WHO. They discussed the impact of COVID-19 to vulnerable community and shared their experiences in the fight against TB, HIV, HCV.
Dr. Massimo Barra, President of ERNA, noted the importance of such meetings for greater cooperation and partnership within the movement and with respective stockholders.
