ICF “International HIV / AIDS Alliance in Ukraine” announces a competitive selection of participants for a comprehensive training-seminar on TB and advocacy issues.

The training-seminar is announced within the framework of the project “Strengthening the capacity of NGOs for more meaningful participation in the response to the TB epidemic”, implemented in partnership with TB Europe Coalition and funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ ) GmbH. 

The training aims to strenghten the NGO potential in order to respond to TB and support the initiatives for 2015-2017.

Dates: 10-11 June, 2015
Place: Tbilisi, Georgia
Language: Russian.

Travel / airfare, accommodation and meals are provided by the organizers.

Main topics of the training-seminar:

– TB. TB features. Detection and diagnosis of TB (including early detection). TB treatment. Working with contact persons. Infection control in NGOs

– Advocacy. The basic principles of advocacy. Development and implementation of an action plan. Protection of human rights. Patients’ Charter for TB. Working with the authorities. Effective use of media

– Exchange of experiences among the participants through presentations and participation in the thematic discussion panels.

Terms of selection of participants: only the NGO representatives/ organizations from EECA working on the initiatives for 2015 -2017 from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova , Russia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will be considered to apply.
